Open Horizons: Ancient Greek Journeys and Connections was a collaboration between the National Archeological Museum, Athens and Museums Victoria. Presented at Melbourne Museum in 2022 the exhibition was a journey through Ancient Greece, exploring how the trade of ideas and goods influenced both Greek culture and the ancient world. The exhibition displayed some of the most significant objects from the National Archaeological Museum’s vast collection of antiquities.

Hohab undertook the spatial design of the exhibition working closely with the project team at Melbourne Museum and the National Archeological Museum, Athens. Utilising a suite of existing showcases Hohab designed a series of blocks and panels addressing the complex conservation and installation requirements of the objects. The design also included a series of large floor plinths and pedestals designed to create a distinct aesthetic as well as a barrier to protect the works.
